Thank you!

During the weekend we celebrated my birthday, my "Good Bye"- party and Welcome E. Both relatives and friends had gathered to celebrate the big day. The feelings were on top all the time and everytime it came more people the feelings just went better. My dad had a wonderful "speech" to both E and me and the "speech" was so beautiful that all of us started to cry, even the guests. But the crying wasn´t finished yet, because my friends had a very special gift to me too. They had made a book, a lovely book about me, with pictures from Primary school, Lower Secondary School and pictures from our trip to Nice with the French group! And under every picture there were a sentence from the song "Beautiful" by Christina Aquilera. Both  the cover and the back of the book was covered with the French flag and on the cover my name was written in gold! It was so beautiful that tears started to fall. Just think about how much time it most have taken to make it and the thought behind it, that you can put so much love in just one book and that you can see it on on every page! They wanted to give me a book so I could remember Finland and all my dear friends here! I have fantastic friends! <3

I got many other lovely gifts too, I got a diary, but it isn´t a diary you get everyday because there were already some pages written in it! It started with over 50 tips or hints to do every month and it was full with beautiful words and thoughts! I got a necklace but this one was made by hand, a little flower made of tree, I got this typical red french hat so now I am almost as "une fille fancaise", then I also got lots of chocolate and lovely Marimekko things! I got a photo album with more lovely and funny pictures, beautiful written letters and some books how to "survive" from different and difficult situations. The most funny gift I got was maybe homesickness pills that I will probably need...

The afternoon changed to evening but the party went on and we ate good food together with all my dear friends and relatives. Because everybody gave me so wonderful gifts it was my turn to give them something in return. J was going to play the piano and I was going to sing, two songs "I was born to be somebody" and "Beautiful", my gift to you!
More tears came during the song and after the songs but the hardest thing was to say goodbye to many of my relatives and friends when it was time for them to leave. It was harder to say goodbye to my relatives because you knew that you did´t have to say goodbye to your friends - not yet...
